Surface of strawberry at high magnification looks weird. I never thought that strawberries are hairy, and their seeds have sprouts. I had just one problem when took source photos for this picture: strawberry is too glossy. I placed white plastic bag around berry to diffuse daylight, and this makes reflects acceptable. However, we clearly see surface cell structure only with reflects.

For this picture, i used my "snowflake" setup (you'll find detailed description of this simple macro rig in article about snowflake macro photography), and combined averaging and focus stacking techniques: 10 groups of shots with different focus was captured; each group contained 8 identical photos for averaging (80 source RAW photos total).

Interesting: Google's Deep Dream sees it that way. :)
